A lot has happened since I last posted, but I can’t help but post about my favorite live steaming event of the year. This is the time when a lot of my friends here in Hong Kong gather for a fund raising night for the ultra poor of the Philippines. And this year ICM has expanded into Uganda. Such an amazing organization!
Authorities and enthusiasts alike from all around the world descended into Hong Kong to discuss exciting developments in Blockchain.
This event was requested by a friend that works for this church. Their need: to connect the overflow room to the main banquet hall, which is 5 levels apart. The solution: connect via Video Conference Codec (Cisco C60)
It wasn’t a straightforward process, as the banquet facility couldn’t provide wired LAN. So the workaround was to use 4G wireless routers to bridge the gap. It isn’t the best solution, because we are relying on a shared resource, but this was the only solution that was the least costly.
Arkadin Hong Kong also provided assistance in offering their BlueJeans solution for this event.

MIT Entrepreneurship and Maker Skills Integrator (MEMSI) is a two-week long, fully immersive bootcamp for aspiring hardware system innovators from universities in Hong Kong and from MIT. We cover travel and program expenses! In two action-packed weeks, students will:
• Meet and work with like-minded innovators from several continents
• See how mass production happens in real life via factory tours in China
• Choose a customer problem to solve, create a solution, build a prototype, develop a business case, and present their venture to thought leaders, alumni and friends on Showcase Day
• Develop a strong entrepreneurial spirit and build hard and soft skills that will help them succeed, whatever career paths they may choose after graduation
